My whole adult career has been spent in front of a microphone, but what I have said into it has changed quite a bit. I started out in the radio business as an on air morning show news reporter and News Director in Philadelphia. My forte was covering large trials which included sleeping on court house benches waiting for the verdict to come in. It seemed I had a knack for taking large amounts of information and turning it into quick understandable news stories. I absolutely loved what I was doing. I managed my news teams and learned so much from them. Once my daughter was born it became more difficult to go to work at 3 am and cover large and very long trials. Having the experience of radio management and having had enough of the cold weather I moved to Arizona to take a position at America Online as a Sales Manager and Corporate Trainer. To be able to reach people all over the globe and share my knowledge and experience with many people at the same time on their own schedule is something I firmly believe in. It works! I spent five years training all aspects of sales and customer service as well as ways to improve productivity, employee satisfaction and some technical classes as well. I won many awards but the one I am most proud of was an award for my ability to motivate. The ability to motivate and my passion for teaching and adult learning theory led me into the business professional arena, specifically Project Management. I obtained my PMP Certification and continue to motivate others to do the same by giving a deeper understanding of project management and advice on how to take and pass the certification exams. Training is changing, how adults learn is changing. The ability to take a class from home using a computer is something I believe in. I still use a microphone to present large amounts of information like Project Management and other business skills. I combine that with my professional and life experience to give you understandable information you can learn, and apply to your projects, your teams and your lives. I absolutely love what I am doing! I look forward to seeing you in all my classes. |
