Testimonials

Simply Excellent...

The training was excellent, exactly what I was looking for. Amazing price, best I've found! This was better than any class I've sat in, and the instructor kept it entertaining as well

Great Investment

I have a hard time sitting in class and paying attention. With this A+ training, I was able to learn at my own pace, whenever I wanted, and I learned a lot more than I did in class. Excellent instructor, can't wait for Network+

Media Player

Palaestra Training videos are recorded in .avi format and will play in most media players. Our videos are created using the Techsmith TSCC codec. Our training is delivered on CD and/or DVD and comes with its own media player.

If you want to view the videos in another media player, you'll need to download the TSCC codec from Techsmith's website. It's a small download, totally free, and installs in seconds.

It can be downloaded from here http://www.techsmith.com/download/codecs.asp

Our videos can also be played on a Mac using Quicktime and downloading the Techsmith enSharpen codec. It is also a free download and can be downloaded here http://www.techsmith.com/download/codecs.asp

Downloadable Content

Some of our training titles are available via download. The training is downloaded as an ISO image, and depending on the size of the training, multiple ISO image files may be zipped together. If the download is a zip file, you'll need to unzip them first, then do one of two things:

  1. Burn the ISO image file to disc, using a DVD burning package like Roxio or Nero
  2. Mount the image to a virtual drive, which allows you to load it without burning a disc (preferred method).

To mount the image file, you can use Roxio or Nero (they both come with an image mounting capability) or you can use a free little app called Virtual Clone drive, from www.slysoft.com. Once you install the application, you’ll be able to right click on the ISO file and simply select “mount”. It then loads the ISO as if it were a physical disc, and creates a virtual drive (so if you have C and D drive, you’ll see a new E drive, that has the ISO file mounted).

You can download the application directly from here www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html
